When registration data is imported, the de-duplication check is performed for each record being imported. The de-duplication check yields a point match score which determines how that record is dealt with.

90 or greater |
Records automatically matched, where data exists on the import registration but not on the existing registration, that data will be updated onto the existing record. No other data updates will take place. Import record will be discarded |
80 - 89 |
Records are a potential match but require confirmation by the user. Record will be flagged as Possible Duplicate. When potential matches are identified, an email notification will be sent to nominated contacts (defined on the import configuration) |
Below 80 |
Records have no match, new registrations are created |
