Membership Types and Pricing

ThankQ supports a three-tiered membership system. Different pricing structures and associated source and destination codes will need to be set up for each membership type. These are set up using the Membership Pricing form.

Membership types and pricing must be set up before you can enter any memberships in to thankQ.

1.Click Membership on the main thankQ menu.

2.Click the Membership Pricing icon to open the Membership Pricing form.

3.On the Membership Pricing form, click the New button on the tool bar.

4.Enter the details for the membership type on the Membership Pricing form.

Membership Type

The name of the membership type eg. Silver, Corporate, Individual. This is a required field.

Sub type

If the membership type has several sub-types, enter the sub-type into the Sub Type text field eg. Full, Concession, Standard. This is a required field.

Grade

 

If the membership has different pricing levels e.g. full, special or concession, enter the grade into the Grade text field eg. Special. This is a required field.

Source

 

Associated source code for membership fees from this membership type. This is a required field.

Destination

Associated destination code for membership fees from this membership type. This is a required field.

Cost

The basic cost of the membership for the specified duration.

Joining Fee

The cost of an initial joining fee, if applicable.

Rejoining Fee

The cost of rejoining the membership if it has lapsed, if applicable

Effective From

The date this membership is Effective From. This prevents this membership from being selected on the web BEFORE this date. It has no effect on creating/editing memberships within thankQ itself.

Effective Until

The date this membership is Effective Until. This prevents this membership from being selected on the web AFTER this date. It has no effect on creating/editing memberships within thankQ itself.

Exclude from Drop Down List

Do not show this Membership Type/Sub Type/Grade on drop down lists in any of the applicable membership forms. This includes Creating or Editing Memberships as well as Searching.

Life Membership One Off Payment

This membership only needs a one off payment and will never expire.

Include in Budget Financials

Include this type of membership in the membership budget (see Budget Report and Set Budget Forecast).

Include in Budget Counts

Include this type of membership in the membership budget as an extra count.

Notes

Extra notes or reminders about this membership. You can use the notes section to list the benefits that the membership type provides

 

e.g. Full use of club facilities

 

You can view these notes by clicking on the Membership Info button on the Memberships form.

Publish to Web

Tick if this is to be published on the Web.

Web Alias

Name that can be used on the Web. By default the name will be the Type/Sub Type/Grade.

Autoset Primary Category

This will automatically update the Primary Category field of the Contact Details form to Member or your selected option when a new membership is set up.

Autoset Primary Category Terminated

This will automatically update the Primary Category field of the Contact Details form to Ex Member or your selected option when a Membership is terminated.

Duration (months)

The number of months this membership is valid for until it expires.

Required Points (CPD/E)

The number of required points for Continuing Professional Development/Education skills. If required, to maintain or upgrade level of membership. Can be earned through attending training and seminars via Event module.

Priority

Priority of membership eg High, Low etc.

Available POS

This membership will available in the POS Module.

POS Favourite

This membership is considered to be a favourite item in the POS Module.

Renewal Membership Cost ID

This allows you to select a Membership Type/Sub Type/Grade that this membership will be changed to when you renew it. This can be useful if the memberships you have are changing periodically and you want to automatically migrate existing memberships to this new type.

Renewal Membership

The Type/Sub Type and Grade you are renewing this to.

5.Once you have finished creating/editing the membership click the OK button to create the membership type.
