The first stage of the Merchandise Life Cycle is initiated by ordering Products from Suppliers. Therefore Suppliers are set up first.

Create Suppliers as a contact under the Contact form.

Suppliers can be either Individual or Organisation Contact Types.

The Primary Category for each supplier would normally be set up as Supplier.

If you do not have this category set up in your system you will need to add it using the Lookup Values under the Administration Module.
