    Women’s Technology and Business Program 
    Aiming to help close the gender technology gap and empower women to create innovative solutions, AustCham's Women in Business Network is launching a series titled “Women’s Technology and Business Program” to increase knowledge of our members on the threats and opportunities posed by some disruptive technologies, and to upskill them in particular technology areas. The Program will run one session per month from February to July 2017 with speakers from leading companies:

    Session 1 -  An Introduction to the new technologies shaping our world
    – how technology is having an impact across different industries and what those impacts could be
    •  An overview of each of the key disruptive technologies – we will give an introduction and an overview to the key technologies covered throughout this series. What are they and how will they have an impact.
    •  We will also introduce trends we are seeing in different industries and how companies and individuals are preparing for and embracing rapid disruption.

    About our speaker:
    Liam Gilligan, Head of Hong Kong Innovation Lab, Commonwealth Bank of Australia

    Liam is a business innovator with extensive experience across both start-ups and large corporates in innovation, product development, business development, strategy, and human centred design. 

    Prior to working at CBA, Liam was the General Manager of Service Product Innovation at Telstra, Australia’s largest Telco company. Liam was responsible for developing and testing new business models in response to a multi-faceted disruption. Liam also ran Service Design and Operations for Telstra’s retail footprint and was product lead for several new service businesses in the Telstra portfolio. Before Telstra, Liam led Business Development and Operations at gizmo, an IT services start-up which appeared twice in BRW fast starters list.
