The unique animals of Madagascar are in danger
The island is home to lemurs, Radiated Tortoises, Spider Tortoises, and
hundreds of animals that aren’t found anywhere else. But the widespread
destruction of Madagascar’s forests means we’re on the verge of losing these
magical species forever.
Thanks to wonderful people like you, we’ve teamed up with some of the world’s leading experts in Madagascan conservation to develop a groundbreaking program to help protect the forests and the species that depend on them for survival. We’ve also established a world-class lemur breeding facility at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo.
Your gift will help Taronga and our partners work with local communities to conserve and protect the island’s forests – and help save beautiful creatures like the lemur from extinction.
