Today’s cycads are no longer regarded as ‘dinosaur plants – the same as those growing in the Jurassic period. Instead, they have evolved independently only 10 million years ago. The Royal Botanic Garden, Sydney, has both an important living collection of cycads and a leading Scientist in the area of cycad research. This talk and walk covers information about cycads, pollination, biology, human uses and conservation issues of these most fascinating and endangered plants.
Refreshments will be served at 10am.
